CORRECTED: Dupont ANC Candidates' Forum on October 14

CORRECTED: Noah Smith did not say he planned to attend. He is visiting family out of town. He will be back for another candidates' forum on the 16th. Apologies for the error.

There will be a Candidates' Forum for all those on the ballot to fill spots on Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) 2B/Dupont Circle. It will take place on, Tuesday, October 14, at 7pm, at Chastleton Ballroom (1701 16th Street NW). The forum was announced last night (October 8) at the regular monthly meeting of ANC2B.

It was announced there would be a portion of the program hosted by moderators, and a portion left open for audience questions.

All ANC2B candidates, whether they face an opponent in the election or not, are invited to attend. Five of nine ANC2B districts have only one candidate -- see SALM blog post of August 11.

The following candidates are running without opposition: Mike Feldstein (incumbent, district 01), Stephanie Maltz (incumbent, district 03), Michael Upright (district 04), Mike Silverstein (incumbent, district 06), and Justine Underhill (district 07).

The voters in the following districts will have a choice on election day:

• district 02: Jonathan Padget, Daniel Warwick
• district 05: Jonathan Jagoda, Abigail Nichols
• district 08: Nicole Mann, Robert Sinners
• district 09: Edward Hanlon, Noah Smith

Padget, Warwick, Jagoda, Nichols, and Sinners said by email that they plan to be present. Smith said at last night's meeting that he planned to attend. Mann did not respond to my email. I have not been able to get in touch with Hanlon.
